Dallape piano accordion catalog

Recently someone on Ebay was selling a battered old catalog of Dallape piano accordions. Old examples of Dallape & Figlio accordions can often be had for a steal at the usual places like online auction sites, yard sales, and flea markets. Just like old cars, or maybe the robot in Phil Dick's "To Serve the Master," these once majestic machines of musical leisure formerly occupied the top of their food chain, only to be forgotten and left to decay. They are beautiful instruments, filled with detailed engravings, inlays, and other handiwork. Many were (and still are) custom made for specific players using the highest quality reeds and other materials.

I thought I would post photos of the catalog here because it is a rare item and the seller took photos of all six pages including the covers.

Dallape continues to make very high quality piano and chromatic button accordions. If you're in the market for a new PA or a chromatic then you might want to consider one of these instruments.

The company is based in Stradella, the north of Italy, not Castelfidardo. There's nothing wrong with Castelfidardo, of course, only that there are plenty of excellent accordions coming from the north of Italy, too, and sometimes these companies are overlooked or overshadowed.
